MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during the ic! berlin era, such as silicone temple tips no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems such as temple tips easily falling off and frames not being adjustable to compensate for differences in ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from medical-grade stainless steel, only 0.5 mm thick, ensuring the best quality. Their screwless, solder-free patented hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-lightweight eyewear.
