MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as silicone temple tips that would no longer accumulate dirt or break. Issues like easily detachable temples and frames that couldn't be adjusted for wearers with different ear heights were all resolved in MYKITA's eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from 0.5 mm thick, high-quality medical-grade stainless steel, and their patented screw-less, solder-free hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to a minimum. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-lightweight eyewear.
