MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems like temples easily falling off and frames not being adjustable to accommodate different ear heights of the wearer were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, ensuring the best quality. Its patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, while the sturdy material also achieves lightness and comfort, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-light eyewear.
