MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems like temples easily falling off and frames not being adjustable to compensate for differences in ear height were all resolved in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, ensuring the highest quality. Their patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to a minimum. The design is bold and innovative, while the sturdy material also achieves lightness and comfort, allowing MYKITA to continue to dominate the market for ultra-lightweight eyewear.
