MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during the ic! berlin era, such as silicone temple tips no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems such as easily detached temples and frames that could not be adjusted for different ear heights of the wearer were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from the highest quality medical-grade stainless steel, with a thickness of only 0.5 mm. Its screwless and solderless patented hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible.
