MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during the ic! berlin era, such as the silicone on the temples no longer accumulating dirt or breaking. Issues such as temples easily falling off and frames not being adjustable to compensate for differences in ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from the highest quality medical-grade stainless steel, only 0.5 mm thick. Its patented screwless, solderless hinge design minimizes the weight of the glasses. The bold and innovative design, combined with robust materials, achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-lightweight eyewear.
