MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers were unable to overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or breaking. Issues like temples easily detaching and frames being unable to adjust to differences in the height of the wearer's ears were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from medical-grade stainless steel of the highest quality, with a thickness of only 0.5 mm. Its patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue to dominate the market for ultra-light eyewear.
