MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were previously the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as silicone temple tips no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Issues like easily detachable temples and frames that could not be adjusted to accommodate differences in the wearer's ear height were all resolved in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, ensuring the highest quality. Their patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the glasses' weight to the absolute minimum.
