MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during the ic! berlin era, such as silicone temple tips no longer accumulating dirt or breaking. Issues like temples easily falling off and frames not being adjustable to compensate for differences in ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from the highest quality medical-grade stainless steel, with a thickness of only 0.5 mm. Their patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves lightness and comfort, allowing MYKITA to continue to dominate the market for ultra-light eyewear.
