"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is the name given by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, in tribute to his father.
Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has been passionate about making all kinds of handmade glasses for fifty years. To this day, he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as an eyewear expert from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional craftsmanship has made "Echizen Province Jinroku Saku" a favorite among handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
