"Echizen-no-Kuni" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses for fifty years and remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as a renowned craftsman in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Naruhito Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen-no-Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
