"Echizen-no-Kuni" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has dedicated fifty years to crafting various handmade glasses. To this day, he remains an active and respected figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narunori Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional craftsmanship has made "Echizen-no-Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
