"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, the holy land of Japanese eyewear. "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionate about making various handmade glasses, and to this day, he remains an active and respected figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narushige Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional craftsmanship has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
