"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses for fifty years and remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as a recognized eyewear expert in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional eyewear crafting techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
