"Echizen Province" is the ancient name of Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has dedicated fifty years to crafting various handmade eyewear. To this day, he remains an active and respected figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narushi Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
