"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, the mecca of Japanese eyewear, while "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionate about crafting various handmade eyeglasses, and to this day, he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as a renowned eyewear craftsman from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made products from "Echizen Province Jinroku Saku" highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
