"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan, a mecca for eyewear. "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionate about crafting various handmade eyeglasses, and to this day, he remains an active and recognized figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yoneya, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen Province Jinroku-saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
