"Echizen-koku" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, the holy land of Japanese eyewear. "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses. To this day, he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as an eyewear expert from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narushi Yonetani, their innovative designs and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques have made "Echizen-koku Jinroku-saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
