"Echizen no Kuni" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute from Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been dedicated to crafting various handmade glasses, and even today, he remains an active figure in the handmade eyewear industry as a renowned eyewear expert in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
