"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has dedicated fifty years to crafting various handmade glasses. To this day, he remains an active figure in the handmade eyewear industry as an esteemed Sabae City eyewear expert. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, their innovative designs and traditional crafting techniques have made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
