"Echizen Province" is the ancient name of Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, while "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses, and to this day, he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as an esteemed eyewear craftsman from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
