MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as silicone temple tips no longer collecting dirt or breaking. Issues like temples easily detaching and frames being unable to adjust to differences in ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, ensuring the highest quality. Its patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The bold and innovative design, combined with sturdy materials, achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-light eyewear.
