MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were previously the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems such as easily detached temples and frames that could not be adjusted to accommodate different ear heights of the wearer were all resolved in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from medical-grade stainless steel of the highest quality, with a thickness of only 0.5 mm. Their patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the robust material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue to dominate the market for ultra-light eyewear.
