"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute to the father of Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionate about crafting various handmade eyeglasses, and he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry today as an eyewear connoisseur from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, their innovative designs and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques have made "Echizen Province Jinroku-saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
