MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were previously the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Issues like easily detached temples and frames that could not be adjusted for wearers with different ear heights were all overcome in MYKITA's eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from medical-grade stainless steel of only 0.5 mm thickness and the best quality. Its patented screw-less and solder-free hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-lightweight eyewear.
