MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems like temples easily detaching and frames being unable to adjust to differences in ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA glasses are made from 0.5 mm thick, high-quality medical-grade stainless steel. Their screwless and solderless patented hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to a minimum. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-light eyewear.
