"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionate about crafting various handmade eyeglasses and remains active in the handmade eyewear industry today as a renowned eyewear expert from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Naritoshi Yonetani, their innovative designs and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques have made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku-saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
