MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer accumulating dirt or breaking. Issues such as temples easily detaching and frames being unable to adjust to the different heights of the wearer's ears were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from the highest quality medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, and its patented screwless, solderless hinge design reduces the weight of the glasses to the lightest possible. The design is bold and innovative, and the sturdy material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue to dominate the market for extremely lightweight eyewear.
