"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, while "Jinroku" is a tribute to the father of Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses, and even today, he remains an active figure in the handmade eyewear industry as a renowned craftsman in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narushige Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional craftsmanship has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku-saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
