"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyeglasses mecca, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyeglass craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.
Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately making various handmade eyeglasses. To this day, he remains active in the handmade eyeglasses industry as an eyeglass expert from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narushi Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
