MYKITA was founded in Germany in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philipp Haffmans, and Moritz Krueger. Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling were also the founders of ic! berlin eyewear. MYKITA eyewear corrected design flaws that the two designers could not overcome during their time at ic! berlin, such as the silicone on the temples no longer collecting dirt or getting damaged. Problems such as temples easily detaching and frames being unable to adjust to differences in the wearer's ear height were all overcome in MYKITA eyewear. MYKITA eyewear is made from medical-grade stainless steel with a thickness of only 0.5 mm, ensuring the highest quality. Its patented screwless and solderless hinge design reduces the eyewear's weight to a minimum. The design is bold and innovative, while the robust material also achieves a lightweight and comfortable effect, allowing MYKITA to continue dominating the market for ultra-light eyewear.
