"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, the holy land of Japanese eyewear, and "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has been dedicated to crafting various handmade glasses for fifty years. To this day, he remains an active and respected figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. With the complementary efforts of Hasegawa and the brand's eyewear designer, Narushi Yonetani, their innovative designs and traditional crafting techniques have made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly sought after by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
