"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, the holy land of Japanese eyewear. "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Mr. Hasegawa has been dedicated to crafting various handmade glasses for fifty years and remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as an esteemed craftsman from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Naruhito Yoneya, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku-saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
