"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, while "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father's name.

Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has been dedicated to crafting various handmade eyewear for fifty years. To this day, he remains an active and recognized figure in the handmade eyewear industry in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Narishi Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
