"Echizen Province" is the ancient name for Fukui Prefecture, the holy land of Japanese eyewear. "Jinroku" is a tribute by Masayuki Hasegawa, an eyewear craftsman from Sabae City, to his father.

Masayuki Hasegawa was born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. For fifty years, Mr. Hasegawa has been passionately crafting various handmade glasses, and even today, he remains an active figure in the handmade eyewear industry as an expert from Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Shigehito Yonetani, their complementary approach of innovative design and traditional eyewear crafting techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly favored by handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
