"Echizen Province" is the old name for Fukui Prefecture, Japan's eyewear mecca, and "Jinroku" is the name of Masayuki Hasegawa's father, to whom he pays tribute as an eyewear craftsman in Sabae City.

Born in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, Masayuki Hasegawa has been passionate about making all kinds of handmade glasses for fifty years. To this day, he remains active in the handmade eyewear industry as an eyewear expert in Sabae City. Together with the brand's eyewear designer, Shigeru Yonetani, the complementary blend of innovative design and traditional eyewear manufacturing techniques has made "Echizen no Kuni Jinroku Saku" products highly popular among handmade eyewear enthusiasts.
