Taylor with Respect - Castor C5 [New]

TAYLOR WITH RESPECT is a Japanese handmade eyewear brand founded in 2017 by veteran eyewear designer Satoshi Waki. The "TAYLOR" in the brand name is inspired by "Tailor", aptly highlighting the brand's mission to develop eyewear treasures that fit the needs of different individuals like bespoke tailoring. At the same time, the entire brand name also expresses the designer's respect for his grandfather, who opened a tailor shop, and for eyewear craftsmanship.
Each pair of glasses is meticulously crafted by artisans in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. To create eyewear as comfortable as custom-made pieces, the designer incorporates multiple details into the finished product. One of the most unique features is the Damaged Colour technique, which creates a strong aged look on the frame surface, adding a weathered, time-honored feel to a retro design. The designer has also focused on designing for Asian face shapes, using S-shaped lines to create flexible temples that provide excellent head-hugging comfort. The unique T-shaped hinge, in addition to being recognizable, effectively distributes pressure at the junction of the frame front and temples, while the integrated hinge design increases the precision between components. The nose pads are made of deformation-resistant titanium, combined with an anti-slip film, significantly enhancing durability. These multiple details embody the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship, and the quality is absolutely beyond doubt.
